We very much enjoyed our stay at the cottage which was freshly painted, clean, spacious and comfortable. The newly fitted kitchen was very easy to use with all mod cons. There is a good supermarket in De Rijp and we ate in a lot. It's lovely looking out over the farm from the upstairs window to see the animals and local birdlife. We appreciated the warm welcome from Simone, dogs, cat and sheep! We hired cycles in De Rijp (from De Gouw) and enjoyed beautiful rides round the polders direct from the farm. It all made a lovely change from our daily life in London and was a special holiday. | |

Ha Simone, Wat was het afgelopen zaterdag leuk om je ontmoet te hebben en wat vertelde je vol passie over je werk op de boerderij. Ik heb net je site bekeken en wat ziet dat er aantrekkelijk uit. Ik zie mezelf al liggen in de bedstee. Ben helemaal enthousiast en ga eens polsen of er niet iemand uit ons gezin met me mee wil om een paar dagen in je vakantie huisje te bivakkeren. Our family of five adults had a wonderful 3 1/2 week holiday on this beautiful North Holland farm. We all fitted easily into the cottage which was really cosy and warm, and well equipped, we cooked many excellent dinners in the kitchen.The bedstee was very cosy and the setting so peaceful. We travelled around the countryside easily on the well marked roads and visited Alkmaar, Hoorn, Marlen, Volendam, Enkhuizen, Amsterdam and Haarlem and of course de Rijp a few minutes walk away and a stunningly picturesque village, like a Christmas card in the snow only better. We spent Christmas and New Year here and it was magical, a complete contrast to our home, Cape Town, South Africa. Thank you Simone for an unforgettable experience. | |

Hemos pasado unos días fantásticos en este precioso caserio durante el pasado mes de agosto. Es un lugar perfecto para cualquier persona que quiera disfrutar de lo mejor de Holanda: su naturaleza y su cultura. El caserío esta ubicado en un lugar precioso, a pocos kilómetros de algunos de los lugares más interesantes y atractivos de Holanda. La casita para huéspedes es sencilla pero muy acojedora, tiene todo lo que se pueda necesitar, resulta realmente confortable. Nosotros cinco (tres criaturas y dos adultos) disfrutamos cada minuto que pasamos en este lugar, sobre todo gracias a la amabilidad de su dueña, Simone. Desde luego no cabe duda de que un pedacito de este lugar ha viajado con nosotros hasta el País Vasco, nuestro hogar. Gracias por todo Simone y !hasta pronto! | |

We had spent a wonderful days in the farm during the last August. It is just the perfect place to be for everybody who wants to enjoy the best of Holland: it´s nature and it´s culture. It is located on a beautiful lanscape and is very well located, closed to some of the main attractions in Holland. The cottage is simple but there you find everything you need. It is comfortable and very warm. Five of us (three children and two adults) enjoyed every minute we stayed there, particularly in the company of Simone, the owner of the farm. We can say that a piece of this wonderful place has travel with us to our home, to the Basque Country. Thanks for all Simone and see you soon! | |

Dag Simone, In het najaar, september, hebben mijn vriendin Jacqueline en ik gewandeld van Alkmaar naar Purmerend. We hebben toen erg genoten van jouw gastvrijheid op de boerderij. Je had een mooie prettige kamer voor ons en een heerlijk ontbijtje. Je gastvrijheid, en dat je ons twee fietsen uitleenden was mooi; zo konden we op de fiets naar het dorp gaan. Het dorp De Rijp, is heel dichtbij maar na 19 km wandelen konden we dat niet meer opbrengen. Bedankt! Je hebt een prachtige B&B, we kunnen het iedereen aanraden! groeten Margo en Jacqueline. | |

We spent a glorious week in June/July in Simone's lovely cottage, which is as close to perfect as can be for a holiday away from the usual tourist areas and for peace and quiet. De Rijp is an idyllic village, and the closeness of Amsterdam and Alkmaar, and many other interesting & historic places made for a varied and enjoyable week with our three children. The sights and activities of the farm were an added bonus, as were the friendly dogs, cat and other birds and livestock. The cottage itself is well-equipped and charming, with character missing from very many holiday lettings, and Simone made us feel truly at home during the time we spent with her. Simone, allereerst bedankt voor je gastvrijheid tijdens ons verblijf afgelopen weekend op de Beemsterheerlijkheid!!! Wij hebben samen heel erg genoten van de rust en schoonheid van de omgeving! Heerlijk de omgeving verkend met de fiets, van de mooiste plekjes genoten waar we uitkwamen tijdens onze kanotocht en de wandeltocht door het dorp! En wat is er mooier om je dagen af te sluiten met een heerlijke maaltijd, in een van de prachtige en heel erg goede restaurantjes in de Rijp! Simone, nog veel succes met alles wat je doet...(en dat is heel wat) en mocht je (of je familie uit Australie) in de buurt zijn, jullie zijn altijd welkom op onze camping.
